Welcome to my way overdue Web Page (Blog). It's good to finally be able to open my "STUPH" page. I want to learn, as quick as I can how to post important stuph as well as to help visitors navigate to other pages that have stuph that is meaningful to me.
Glad is what I am that Blogger Extraordinaire, my daughter Julina has helped me put this together. Thanks to all the rest of you who have said, time and again; "When are you going to get your blog up and running?"
I just hope that what you see on this page reflects my better nature; those things that help you and me to find and share happiness all around.

- I am the eldest of eight children, born of goodly parents; Loyal Hastings, all around great Dad, disciple of Christ, fun grandpa, career USAF pilot and my mom, Janice Mendenhall, descendant of Mormon pioneers, tireless mom, amazing cook, terrific grandma. Until I was 29, I never lived anywhere longer than three years. Since then I have lived for 25 years in the same house in Las Vegas. I just celebrated my 31st wedding anniversary with Michele Christensen, a true saint who daily lives what she believes. She also shows each day how much she loves me. We have raised six wonderful children. I am truly blessed by my wonderful family. I have tried to serve the poor and indigent for 23 years as a Deputy Public Defender here in Las Vegas. I have had great service opportunities nonstop during my life within the Mormon church, starting at age 19 with a two year mission to Samoa. I have also enjoyed serving with youth in the Boy Scouts. Recently I enjoyed a two day, overnight reenactment of a Mormon Pioneer trek pulling handcarts with 200 teenagers. I look forward to retirement with my wife, serving a mission together wherever called, and enjoying some traveling and our family.
